I arrived in Barcelona, Spain last week to become a part of Asociatión Mundus for the next two months. Between my arrival and my first day of work I luckily had five more days to explore the city, taste the Tapas, enjoy the nice weather (which is very important when coming from a more northern country) and get in contact with locals as well as with other EVS volunteers of Mundus.
On my third day I already ended up on a rooftop of an apartment house to enjoy the wonderful view over the city including the magnificent Sagrada Familia (I will come back to this topic on a further post during the next weeks).

To cut the story short: The city treated me in a very charming way the first days (and it hasn't stopped yet).
Mas Follonar
On monday I went to the office, so let me introduce you the Mas Follonar: It is a Centro de Recursos Juveniles (Youth Resource Center), placed in a wonderful appealing house which is by the way one of the oldest houses in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. This yellow jewel is surrounded by palms and has a yard just in front.
If you enter a man with a trumpet welcomes you.
Anyway the Mas Follonar is a place with loads of creative atmosphere. The walls are covered with lively paintings that spread out a casual lifestyle like this one with the smoking woman and the guitarre man in the staircase.
